Wine:

Born on the famous limestone terroir of the ‘golden stones’, the 2023 white Clos de Rochebonne Beaujolais is a yearly success. This emblematic white Beaujolais wine expresses all the quality of the Chardonnay grape, with notes of flowers, dried fruit and a fine maturity. The right amount of oak frames this full-bodied, finely buttered and sapid wine. A little marvel to match with trout with beurre blanc or lake fish, a favourite of Olivier Poussier, the best sommelier in the world, rated 92/100.

Hand harvested. Pressed with a pneumatic press, then fermented and matured on fine lees for 8 months in barrels of 1 to 10 wines.

With 3 stars from the Guide des meilleurs Vins de France (RVF), Château Thivin remains a Beaujolais icon, demonstrating its excellence with elegance. Robert Parker even ranks it among the world’s top 20 best-value wines. The reason is clear: these wines boast a refined style, providing the ideal expression for Gamay’s juicy character. We have been selecting this estate for many years; its international acclaim is well established.
