Wine:

Fresh and precise, the 2020 Red Pic Saint-Loup opens with delicate smoky notes, set in a ripe and gently spiced profile. The palate continues this layered style, structured around fine, chalky tannins, with flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant, floral hints, and a lovely graphite undertone. Already open and expressive, this smooth, fresh wine will age beautifully over the next decade. A joyful, tender expression of Pic Saint-Loup. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Vinification in concrete vats and tuns. Aged for 12 months.

Certified organic wine.

Color:

Dark red with carmine/garnet highlights.

Nose:

On the nose, you can sense the Syrah in those smoky, bacon-like notes highlighted by a subtle hint of spice.

Palate:

This cuvée brings a lovely freshness, balancing a delicate smoothness, very fine tannins, and a concentrated, harmonious structure.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Grilled meats, lamb chops with rosemary, traditional charcuterie, chicken fillet with Espelette chilli pepper.
