Wine:

Crafted from a blend of Cabernet, Syrah, Cinsault, and Carignan, the 2021 Red Vallée de la Bekaa delights with delicate floral aromas, complemented by notes of black cherry and spice. Its broad, textured palate impresses with a perfect balance of richness and freshness, framed by silky tannins. A wine that defies expectations for this latitude, delivering remarkable harmony and natural indulgence. A superb introduction to Lebanese wines and an absolute favorite of Olivier Poussier, rated 92/100.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Destemming followed by maceration and fermentation in concrete vats. Aged for 16 months in concrete vats.

Color:

Intense red with crimson highlights.

Nose:

Very fragrant nose with floral nuances and hints of black cherries and spices.

Palate:

The palate impresses with its perfect balance, as the Syrah, Cabernet, Cinsault, and Carignan blend harmoniously to reveal a core of ripe black cherry, juicy plum, and wild berries, wrapped in a silky texture with a touch of spice.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Grilled red meats, leg of lamb, Mediterranean-style meat dishes, kibbe: Lebanese meat dish.

Firmly established in the Bekaa Valley since 1868, at over 1,000 meters of altitude, Domaine des Tourelles is one of Lebanon’s oldest and most renowned wineries. With 50 hectares under organic cultivation, overseen by co-owner Faouzi Issa, the estate produces some of the most authentic wines in the Middle East. Alongside its wines, the domaine is also known for its highly esteemed Arak, crafted in Lebanon’s oldest distillery.
