Juan Antonio Ponce has put the Manchuela region on the map, crafting wines that shine with incredible freshness and purity. Known as the master of Bobal, no one handles the variety quite like him. After honing his skills alongside Telmo Rodriguez, he took over his family’s vineyards in 2004, producing wines that are honest, vibrant, and full of character.

Recognized by Parker from his earliest releases, Ponce has redefined what’s possible in Manchuela. By embracing organic farming, reviving forgotten native varieties, and working with old vines, he’s proving that this region has everything it takes to produce truly exceptional wines.
