AWARDS

The Glenlivet is still the world's No. 2 Malt.

Of intense finesse, The Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch Whisky 18 years old opens with marvelous floral notes, followed by spices that develop gradually. The palate maintains a perfect floral and fruity continuity, recalling ripe pear and, as always, spices. The persistent and zesty finish will undoubtedly captivate enthusiasts, supported by 18 years of aging in primarily Sherry casks, as well as Bourbon casks.

Elaboration:

Non-peated. Made with pure, mineral-rich water from the "Josie's Well" spring, top-quality malted barley, slow, controlled distillation in long-necked conical stills, condensers cooled by very cold water from the Livet River, light, sweet distillate, matured for at least 18 years in mainly sherry and Bourbon casks.

Color:

Amber, deep gold.

Nose:

Floral scents relayed by crescendoing spice notes and accents of orange, dried fruit and caramel.

Palate:

Tasty, elegant and with great finesse, with floral and fruity notes of ripe pear and spicy accents. The long, persistent finish seduces with its fine acid notes.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Glencairn whisky glass.

Food and wine pairing:

As an aperitif, or traditionally as a digestif, accompanied by a still, neutral, fresh spring water, Speyside Glenlivet for lovers of Scottish water.

A must-visit Scottish distillery, Glenlivet is also the first House of Speyside, founded in 1824 by George Smith. The original whisky from the Livet valley (Glen Livet), isolated in the far north of the country, Glenlivet has built an exemplary reputation throughout its history, a saga that has never ceased, making it one of the two best-selling malts in the world!
