Wine:

Blend of equal parts Grenache and Syrah, the 2019 Red Dame Rousse Lirac is an incredibly fruity red, vinified in vats. Its finesse and aromas of fresh fruit, plum and strawberries, and hints of toast and violets, are a delight. The tannins are delicate and smooth and the finish is long and fresh. A marvel of a wine to pair with a stew or stewed meat.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Vines aged 40 years. Maceration for 20 days in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. Bottled on the estate. Certified organic wine, from a High Environmental Value Level III farm. Vines cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture

Color:

Dark red.

Nose:

Aromas of plum and strawberry mixed with notes of violet and a hint of toast.

Palate:

Supple and generous, this wine develops has delicate tannins and a long and fresh finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Stewed leg of lamb, Provençal beef stew, coq au vin rouge, roast pork with herbs, soft cheeses.

The American critic has always placed it at the top of his hierarchy, saluting their work and mastery of winemaking and praising their wines above all else.
