Bellevoye Noir Peated Edition is a powerful, complex, and enchanting whisky. Behind its amber color, roasted, peaty, honey, and spicy notes emerge. The whole is complex, the palate is ample but pleasantly oily, without any harshness, punctuated again by notes of smoke, cooked fruits, and in the end, a more iodized touch. A great whisky to be appreciated on its own or with smoked dishes. For this edition, a final maturation of nine to twelve months in new French oak barrels was chosen. It was elected best French blended malt by the World Whiskies Awards 2020.
Elaboration:
Peated triple malt is a blend of three French peated single malt whiskies, matured for 5 to 10 years in three selected French distilleries and then matured for a further 12 months in new French oak barrels heated by them according to an original method in the Bellevoye cellar in Charente.Color:
Amber and bright.Nose:
Notes of warm wood, fireplace, a fine peaty touch, iodine, licorice and eugenol. On aeration, notes of mocha, toast and spices appear.Palate:
Ample, mellow and dense. Its salinity gives it a fresh and harmonious balance, its structure is coated thanks to its elegant tannins.
Temperature:
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Glencairn whisky glass.Food and wine pairing:
As an aperitif, as a digestive, ideally on its own, in mixology or with smoked food. For water lovers, in addition to their whisky tasting, we suggest a still, neutral and fresh spring water.
Bellevoye is the quintessential French whisky, standing among the most sought-after spirits today. Crafted entirely from French ingredients—including locally sourced barley—it embodies the excellence of French production.
As the official whisky of the Élysée Palace and served on Air France flights, Bellevoye is cherished by top bars, brasseries, restaurants, and wine shops worldwide. This success is driven by the superior quality of French eaux-de-vie and unmatched blending expertise, led by Alexandre Sirech and Jean Moueix under the banner of Les Bienheureux.
