Wine:

The Lalande-Borie 2006 is a supple wine, full of fruit. On the nose, as on the palate, the estate has successfully drawn out the fruity aromas. The melted tannin is perfectly incorporated into a wine that is well balanced on the palate and ends in a long, delicious finish. Enjoy drinking from today, this vintage is really pleasurable wine.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, traditional vinification, aging in oak casks of which 25% are new. 20% to 30% new casks.

Color:

Garnet colour.

Nose:

Appetizing on the nose, aromas of ripe fruit, red fruit, very lightly toasted.

Palate:

Well balanced on the palate, its tannin level makes this wine ideal for drinking now. The wine is fresh, palatable and offers a good length finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Grilled skirt of beef, Bordeaux style entrecôte steak, filet mignon, ostrich steak, cep mushroom omelette.

Created in 1970 by Jean-Eugène Borie, Château Lalnade-Borie enjoys the benefit of a superb vineyard in a single plot. With around thirty hectares, the Château's neighbours are the finest Saint-Julien crus. Now run by Mrs Jean-Eugène Borie, her daughter Sabine Coiffe and her son Bruno-Eugène, it has become one of the appellations most reliable wines and is very popular with wine lovers.
