“A ready to drink, sapid and elegant wine!”

Haut-Médoc
Château Sociando-Mallet
Red 2013
Our committee's review
Chateau Sociando-Mallet has a worldwide reputation and offers one of the best value for money in Bordeaux. Located north of Saint-Estephe, its geology is similar in every way to that of Château Latour. A visionary winemaker, Jean Gautreau acquired the estate in 1969 and set it on its path to excellence.
In the Bordeaux region, the 2013 vintage is generally decried, and rightly so, but the shadow of this reputation should not keep us away from the few successes of the year, especially since the prices are more than interesting! Our Selection Committee were truly impressed by the second tasting of this wine, which is why we are so glad to present it to you today!
Skillfully profiled, the 2013 Red Château Sociando Mallet Haut-Médoc distinguishes itself by its finesse and suppleness. On this vintage of great elegance, less tannic than others, it opens with grace and expresses wonderfully nuanced perfumes of ripe fruits and sweet spices. We can taste the style of the chateau which we adore so much, between classicism, straightforwardness and undeniable charm. A bottle that can be enjoyed at once!
