A hidden gem of Gigondas, Domaine du Terme has been in the hands of the Gaudin family for five generations. Tucked away at the “terminus” of the former Principality of Orange to which Gigondas once belonged, the vineyard stretches across a plateau at 200 meters of altitude.
Its 11 contiguous hectares produce tender, beautifully balanced wines, aged simply in tanks and large wooden casks. No tricks here — just the terroir speaking clearly and the fruit shining through. |

Magnificent indeed. The 2022 Red Vacqueyras made a strong impression on Olivier Poussier, Best Sommelier in the World. Classic in style, it offers ripe Grenache with aromas of cherry and dark fruit, lifted by balsamic and spicy notes, and a touch of dried herbs, bay leaf, and wild scrub that are unmistakably southern. The style is all elegance and finesse, with power kept perfectly in check. Everything here feels poised and effortless. A great wine, rated 92/100. |
