The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine This is the fresh new face of Savoie. Recently established on the slopes of Chignin, Ludovic Archer is reshaping the region’s reputation, with wines that are climbing straight to the top of the rankings—cited in the 2025 Guide Vert by La Revue du Vin de France, France’s leading wine publication. The critics agree: he’s the rising star of the Alpine vineyards, and discovering his work is a must.

A former engineer turned winemaker, he organically farms 2.5 hectares tucked against the Bauges Massif. Everything is done by hand—low yields, perfectly ripened grapes, whole-cluster maceration for the reds, gentle pressing for the whites, and no new oak aging. Every choice is made to craft wines with softness and integrity, allowing the fruit aromas and textures to shine through with honesty and finesse.
Wine The 2022 White Savoie Chignin-Bergeron Summertime is a Roussanne with a ripe profile, opening on aromas of honey, flowers and subtle herbal notes. The palate is rich and smooth, quickly followed by a tangy freshness that brings tension, with pronounced mineral bitters on the finish. Clearly a wine for the table, it pairs beautifully with cheese-based dishes, seafood or even poultry in sauce. A modern take on Chignin-Bergeron. Rated 91 out of 100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. Slow pressing of whole grapes, total malolactic fermentation. Aged on lees in vats and barrels for 11 months. Production of 1,800 bottles.

Certified organic wine.
