This is the fresh new face of Savoie. Recently established on the slopes of Chignin, Ludovic Archer is reshaping the region’s reputation, with wines that are climbing straight to the top of the rankings—cited in the 2025 Guide Vert by La Revue du Vin de France, France’s leading wine publication. The critics agree: he’s the rising star of the Alpine vineyards, and discovering his work is a must.
A former engineer turned winemaker, he organically farms 2.5 hectares tucked against the Bauges Massif. Everything is done by hand—low yields, perfectly ripened grapes, whole-cluster maceration for the reds, gentle pressing for the whites, and no new oak aging. Every choice is made to craft wines with softness and integrity, allowing the fruit aromas and textures to shine through with honesty and finesse. |

The 2022 White Savoie Giant Step Jacquère is a crisp, dry and pure wine, laced with aromas of linden blossom and freshly cut hay, with no oak influence. Its subtle, delicate nose leads into an equally elegant palate, marked by root and herbal notes, finishing with a lively freshness and pronounced bitters. A perfect match for seafood or fish. |
