The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Blessed with deep gravel soils similar to those of its illustrious neighbor Cos d’Estournel, Cos Labory is a discreet Grand Cru Classé. Not as well-known as some of its peers, yet every bit as appealing in quality — and in recent vintages, it has even delivered triumphs that rival the leading names of the appellation. Still in the hands of the Audoy family under Bernard Audoy, this estate deserves close attention, as it undoubtedly offers the best value among the 1855 Médoc Grands Crus Classés.

In recent years, it has also seen a remarkable surge of interest, particularly during the En-Primeur wines campaign, where professionals are increasingly drawn to its strong reputation. With prices that remain surprisingly reasonable for its ranking, it is bound to win over savvy enthusiasts with its outstanding positioning.
Wine A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Red Saint-Estèphe de Cos Labory is a very pure and refined wine. The nose offers beautiful aromas of graphite, black fruits with a note of fresh black truffle; the palate is full-bodied with a lot of finesse and elegant flavors of fruits. A bottle that can be drunk now and will keep for another 4 to 5 years easily. Rated 92/100 by our Selection Committee.
Vinification Manual harvesting. Average age of the vineyard of 15 years. Vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks. Aged in oak barrels for 24 months. Production of 9 000 bottles. Second wine of the Château.
