The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A quiet star of Sancerre, brought to light by our VALAP Selection Committee, Domaine Serge Laloue stands out for its pure, crystalline expressions that embody the very best the appellation has to offer.

Rooted in top-quality clay-limestone soils, Franck and Christine Laloue have elevated this family estate to new heights, crafting crisp, fruit-driven whites and radiant, finely textured reds. These are wines of precision and clarity—benchmark examples of what great Sancerre should be.
Wine Fully ripe and beautifully balanced, the 2023 Sancerre Red combines finesse with remarkable freshness, lifted by notes of fresh raspberry. Expertly aged in barrels—a process that gently enhances the wine without overshadowing it—it showcases generous red berry flavours while remaining driven by vibrant energy and silky texture. A highly approachable Pinot Noir, ready to enjoy now and over the next five years. A standout favourite of the VALAP Selection Committee, rated 93/100.
Vinification Hand harvested, vinification with punching down at the start of fermentation, cold pre-fermentation maceration. Aged for 12 months in 600-litre barrels (50%) and in casks (50%).

Certified organic wine.
