Ideally located between Petrus and Cheval Blanc, and awarded 2 stars by the French wine guide RVF, Château L’Évangile is one of Pomerol’s unmissable estates.
Now under the care of the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) team, with the arrival in 2020 of winemaker Juliette Couderc bringing fresh stylistic momentum, this magnificent terroir — now fully converted to organic farming — is expressing its identity with renewed conviction.
The estate’s new direction is reflected in more refined, lifted wines that showcase the structural elegance of each vintage. They reveal greater mid-palate depth, exceptionally polished tannins, and a beautifully integrated saline freshness. |

With 88% Merlot, harvested early to avoid the intense late-summer heat, the 2020 red Château L’Évangile Pomerol delivers superb freshness, bringing focus and precision to its ripe, expressive fruit flavours and generous depth. Layers of black fruit aromas, exotic spices, violet, and a hint of mocha unfold in a silky, harmonious texture that promises to evolve beautifully over the years.
