The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine At Domaine de la Tour Vieille, Vincent Gantié is fully dedicated to the demanding art of viticulture on the Côte Vermeille. This stunning vineyard in the heart of Roussillon, planted on dramatic clay and schist slopes, is home to some of the finest crus in Banyuls.

Here, Grenache Noir reigns supreme, crafting exquisite naturally sweet wines—among the very best in the region. The aging process is handled with remarkable precision, and Gantié’s signature style brings out the bold character and silky depth of these Banyuls. Every sip is a balance of freshness, elegance, and harmony, with intensely expressive aromas that are impossible to ignore.
Wine Aged oxidatively in barrels before spending six years in glass demijohns, the Banyuls Réserva Red unveils sumptuous aromas of mocha, rancio, fig, ripe stone fruit, and warm spices. Made primarily from 80% Grenache Noir, it offers a beautifully balanced sweetness, with silky fruit flavors and no overpowering intensity. This is a wine of elegance and finesse, with an exceptionally refined texture—perfect with a chocolate dessert or even a cigar to end the meal. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. Naturally sweet wine made by fortifying the grapes. 30% of the harvest is aged in glass demijohns and the remaining 70% is aged in oak barrels for several years.
