The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Awarded one star by La Revue du Vin de France—a leading French wine magazine—Clos Cibonne remains an essential name in Provence, celebrated for its unmistakable and timeless charm.

Tucked away on a protected stretch of coastline, this historic estate, certified organic, benefits from a unique terroir where the Tibouren grape truly shines. This ancient, local variety—found nowhere else—produces remarkably distinctive wines that showcase the region’s immense potential. Brigitte and Claude Deforges are devoted to preserving it and sharing its character with the world.

The rosés, in particular, stand apart for their texture, depth, and finesse, striking a perfect balance between Provençal tradition and contemporary style. The reds are equally impressive, offering the same refined, original personality.
Wine A blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Tibouren, the 2023 Côtes de Provence Cuvée Prestige Olivier Red is a distinctive wine, aged for a year in 300-liter barrels. This is a bold, southern-style red with firm tannins and deep, concentrated aromas of red fruit and plum. It shows real Mediterranean character—rich in texture, framed by well-judged oak, and finishing with the saline backbone that is the Clos’s unmistakable signature.
Vinification Hand harvested in the morning at peak ripeness, selective sorting, destemming, maceration for around ten days in stainless steel vats, daily pumping over, aged for 12 months in 300-litre barrels.
