The estate and the wine |
Skilfully vinified, imbued with a harmony and seduction that are typical of the Médoc sector, the Château Belgrave has achieved impressive success year after year. Neighboring the Tour Carnet, adjacent to the Saint-Julien appellation, it carries the finesse and charm of the latter, revived in recent years by judicious investments that have confirmed it in the top tier of its sector. |

The 2014 Chateau Belgrave secures its place at the top of its appellation with finesse and elegance. Carried by an oceanic influence, it is adorned with a lot of freshness, with smoky, balsamic, and sandalwood notes. The wine is not overdone, but the ageing carries it and ennobles it, rounding out its texture and perfectly matching the maturity of the vintage. The palate remains steady, with firm tannins and a spicy structure: a form of classicism without austerity and a finish that gently lingers... It has not said its last word: enjoy it today or aging it for another 5 to 6 years. Rated 92/100 by the Revue du Vin de France. |
