Col d'Orcia - Rosso Di Montalcino - Red - 2021

Wine:

Full of the vibrancy of its great terroir, the 2021 Rosso di Montalcino is a clear expression of Sangiovese. The nose offers delicate floral notes of rose and peony, with subtle oak and a refreshing hint of eucalyptus. The palate is well-structured, with fine tannins and an elegant balance, though the oak influence is still present in its youth. A classic wine from this region, it promises to evolve beautifully over the next 10 years. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Temperature-controlled fermentation. Aged for 12 months in oak tuns.

Garnet red with ochre highlights.

Nose:

Aromas of dried flowers, rose and peony underlined by a hint of wood and eucalyptus.

Palate:

Delicate, racy, with a pronounced oaky character, full-bodied tannins and a powerful structure.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.
