Wine:

The 2022 Red Saint-Joseph La Source doesn't aim for power but rather smoothness and balance. This is ideal, as it already presents itself wonderfully with its violet and Burlat cherry aromas, and a luscious, delicate palate. The granite terroir is perfectly expressed, with beautiful minerality on the finish and a delightful fruitiness throughout.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, 100% destemmed, extracted by punching down and pumping over, vatted for around 20 days, partially aged in oak barrels for around 12 months.

Color:

Ruby red with violet highlights.

Nose:

Bouquet of violets punctuated by aromas of burlat cherry.

Palate:

Delicate yet full-bodied, let yourself be seduced by this juice with its gentle minerality and persistent fruitiness.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Simmered meats, Provençal lamb, sautéed veal chop.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030.

Impressive for the value and enjoyment of its wines, Maison Ferraton is one of the most sought-after names in the northern Rhône Valley. Renowned for wines of admirable breadth, particularly expressive in their youth and capable of aging beautifully, it has established itself as an essential reference.

All of its cuvées are pure successes, blending richness and freshness. The latest vintages have raised the bar even higher, combining refined textures with vibrant flavors.
