The 2015 red Pléiade Heathcote-Victoria is pure Syrah from iron-rich red soil. Skilfully blending power and elegance, this wine tells of all the minerality of its terroir and the precision of Michel Chapoutier's winemaking; a place united with the talent of a man to form this complex, dense but never saturating wine. Great art from the southern hemisphere!

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, 6-week vinification in concrete vats with the addition of indigenous yeasts. Aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months.

Color:

Red with great depth and intensity.

Nose:

Black fruit and kirsch aromas underlined by delicate notes of lavender and a hint of pepper.

Palate:

Pure and complex, with abundant fruity flavors, this powerful wine reveals itself through a dense, elegant structure marked by a gentle minerality.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Preferably red meats: herb-crusted prime rib of beef, shoulder of suckling lamb rubbed with savory, roast pigeon confit with chanterelles.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2035.
