Wine:

The 2021 Pfalz Riesling Trocken Buntsandstein White is pure "liquid stone"! It opens beautifully with a deep, ripe, and elegant nose, combining intense floral notes with a pronounced minerality. The tight, precise structure retains a light spritz that enhances the wine's refreshing quality. Its refined bitterness, tension, and freshness create a high-definition wine with great character and a long, invigorating finish—perfectly suited for river fish or poultry in cream sauces. Fermented in oak casks with some whole clusters, this incredibly complete Riesling offers tremendous aging potential. Rated 94/100 by Parker.

A star of the Rhineland Palatinate, Frank John is one of the most renowned estates in the Pfalz. For the first time, we are offering you the chance to discover this hidden gem that has been making waves among critics.

Frank John, along with his children Sebastian and Dorothea, crafts Rieslings like fine works of art, unmatched in quality. Working biodynamically on their exceptional sandstone and limestone terroirs, they stay true to their family motto: "great wines made the old-fashioned way." Minimal intervention in the cellar and extended aging in wooden barrels result in wines with remarkable aging potential, combining elegance, richness, minerality, balance, and depth.

The estate places strong emphasis on environmental responsibility, with biodynamic certification since 2012, lighter glass bottles to reduce their carbon footprint, and CO2 emissions offset through projects in Uganda. Additionally, they engage in agroforestry with mixed farming practices to further support sustainability.
