The Blended Malt Scotch Whisky Big Peat is a dry and smoky peat whisky with notes of camphor, citrus, white fruits and iodine, and a spicy touch between clove and cinnamon. A tribute to the inhabitants of the island of Islay, it will appeal to all lovers of peated whiskies, who will find here both ardor and consistency. A masterpiece!
Elaboration:
Peated. Made from the most famous single malts of Islay including, Bowmore, Caol Ila, Ardbeg, Port Ellen and two other malts from the south of the island, distilled from malted barley, bottled in small batch. Not cold filtered.Color:
Amber, straw gold, bright.Nose:
Clean notes of licorice stick accompanied by ashy scents, fireplace, peat, malted barley and a touch of clove.Palate:
A concentrate of peat! The palate offers in turn tar, fuel, camphor, eucalyptus, and menthol flavors. The finish is persistent on vegetal notes and a touch of asphalt still warm.
Temperature:
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Glencairn whisky glass.Food and wine pairing:
